Business Training Services

The Confucius Institute offers access to a wide array of specialist expertise on different aspects of Chinese culture, business and society. We develop training programmes and workshops for individual or corporate needs.

Over the last three years the CI at UWA has provided special cross-cultural training for the following organisations:

• Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs. For staff taking up posting at the Australian Consulate in Shanghai.
• Western Australian Symphony Orchestra. For the 2006 tour of China.
• Western Australian Institute of Sport (WAIS). For the athletes, coaches and family members from WA taking part in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
• Port Authorities of Western Australia. For a senior delegation of Port Authority Heads on a visit to China lead by Minister for Planning and Infrastructure the Hon Alannah McTiernan MLA.
• Group of Eight Universities. For the Protocol Officers of the Group of Eight Universities (Australia’s leading research intensive universities).

Translation and Interpreting Services

The Confucius Institute can provide professional, accurate and timely translation and interpreting services. Our translators and interpreters are accredited with the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI).
