Love by Yu Huiwen

This October UWA's Cullity Gallery will host an exhibition showcasing exquisite nature photography and stunning cityscapes from across China by Madam Yu Huiwen.

This cultural exchange exhibition is the culmination of the joint efforts of several Western Australian Government Agencies and Shanghai partners over more than four years. In November, 2017 Madam Yu exhibited alongside WA photographers Frances Andrijich, Tania Malkin and Hugh Brown in a celebration of the WA landscape at the China Art Museum in Shanghai.

In this reciprocal exhibition, the Confucius Institute at UWA and 3 Oceans Group invite the people of WA to marvel at the beauty and diversity of China’s natural world and its modern metropolises, captured so skilfully in Madam Yu’s photographs.

Madam Yu is a consultant for the Shanghai Charity Foundation and founder of the Beauty Nourishing Hearts charity. Her beautiful large-scale photographic works are sold at charity auctions in China to help children with congenital heart disease.
